To see where I'm coming from with this blog, the movie to the left is my favorite movie of all time, ever, in the universe. I've seen this movie more times than I can count, which I stop counting around 20.

Now for my personality, I am a helpless romantic male. I'm also smitten by an amazingly eccentric story that's slightly out of proportion but still relative that contains witty humor and satire. I'm also 100% for the whole "awkward guy has crummy/mundane life, meets beautiful girl, falls in love, can't get said girl, changes life, things to start to go his way, gets girl, profit."

Now of course in this movie, that's how it plays out but getting there is one of the most enjoyable rides I've ever encountered. That and Maggie Gyllenhaal is smoking hot in this film.

I know this is not a film for everyone, and when people see Will Ferrell they think Stepbrothers or Ricky Bobby
or Anchorman, but this is a role Will Ferrell, and I think ONLY Will Ferrell could have pulled off. He plays the
character exactly as it should have been. His lines are delivered with a kind of innocent courage and especially
delightful during his flirting with Maggie's character, who is hell bent on making his life not so easy. In a nutshell,
it's tattooed/hippy baker who doesn't want to pay taxes due to not wanting to fund government wars/bailouts vs.
IRS agent who must audit her for this reason.

There's so many good scenes in this movie, and they all combine to form one of the best stories I have seen in
cinema to this day. It might make you think differently about life, and that each of our lives in a story being told
at this very moment. The question is, how will you be remembered?

  2. Will Ferrel is godlike. This movie is not like the rest he did. Shows us he can play a serious role as well, and he can! Not that I don't love his retarded roles - they are the best

  5. I think will ferrell has been getting better as an actor. in snl he always relied on taking off his shirt in every single skit, and now he playing roles that actually have a little thought in them.
